BOBs.. let's talk.
These are not a haircut that just any hairdresser can do.
My gorgeous client pictured here couldn't see me for her last haircut because our schedules didn't align.
Unfortunately whoever she saw wasn't confident in cutting bobs or curls. This resulted in a bit of a mess. One side was shorter than the other, the bottom was heavy and sat out. This meant hard to manage at home.

So today.. we re balanced. Dorrit was happy for me to take as much length off as I needed to. This is not always the answer though. I was able to save most of the length. Remove weight and bulk. Create softness and movement.
This haircut took 75mins. And I used techniques on wet and dry hair.
In my chair a blowdry is almost always a non negotiable. This allows me to look at the cut with a different eye. See where it's sitting. What's moving or not moving and adjust using additional techniques.

I loovvveeee colour correction. And flexing all my colour theory muscles. Paige just wanted to be blonde! I'm so happy with the results we were able to achieve in one appointment.

Let's talk about refresh appointments.
Jessie and I saw each other in early June for a pre wedding full head foils blonde up.
Yesterday 11th September she came in for a refresh.
Her blonde looked dull and drab but her roots weren't really bothering her. Because of how I place the foils around her hairline and part the grow out is seamless.

So we did a 0 colour refresh to stretch us to her pre Xmas app which will be in November where we will colour.

We did a deep cleansing treatment using a cleanser and steam to remove any hard water build up and free radicals - from travelling.
Then we did a custom treatment using keep my colour blonde treatment and miracle mask with a luxurious head massage and hot towel hair wrap
Followed but a fresh cut and blowdry.

Jessie was in salon for 90 mins and spent about $200.

The thing with blonde.... is that it acts like your white t shirt. It attracts anything and everything and becomes yellow and dull. Purple shampoo is not always the answer.

Jessie will do nothing to maintin until her next app in November because this will last!

We are in love! Amber's hair is so healthy and shiny. We worked on this all day! And I'm stoked with the results.

Sometime we say no to her hair ideas.. or mine.. ha ha
And sometime we roll with it and go all in.
We're currently growing her hair long. For now anyway.

Straight out of exams and into the salon for a refresh before her holiday.

This look is maintained every 8 weeks (or more pending uni schedule) with 1/4 head highlights, gloss #1, and a cor treatment. Head massage is a non negotiable.

Fun fact. Loz. HATED toners before she was in my chair. She's previously felt dull and flat or too ashy after toning. When she actually wants bright and golden. Her words 'beachy blonde'.
So we had a big chat and we talked about how I use @elevenaustraliacolour gloss colour for toning and how they act like lip gloss. Bringing new life to the hair we havnt foiled, adding mad shine! And we can customise to any result we want. So she put her trust in my hands and here we are. She's obsessed.. and will never, Not. Have a toner again!

Over the years the way we colour and the products we use to do it have changed. A lot. We have a lot more options and flexibility now. Condition and care is more important and the results are evidence of that!
